FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We are pleased to offer resizing for plain bands and single-stone rings. Rings with multiple stones, stones along the shank, eternity bands, or engraved bands require more specialised work and are best resized by a local professional jeweller, as some may use laser welding, equipment we don’t currently have in-house.
For rings we can resize, limits are up to 3 sizes up or down, depending on the ring; if it has stones, the range may be smaller. The cost is C$100, with extra charges if more gold is needed.
Resizing usually takes up to 10 working days, often sooner. If unsure, please get in touch to enquire.
Assuming you are not having a ring re-sized and are based in Canada or the US, your order will be at your door within 3-7 working days, using tracked and signed for delivery.
For other international locations delivery will take between 7-14 working days.
Vintage and antique items are indeed used pieces, and all items are photographed and described in as much detail as possible - please don’t hesitate to ask questions about items before purchase. As such, returns are not accepted at this time.
Yes, we ship worldwide! All international customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees that may apply upon receipt. For U.S. customers, new customs rules that came into effect on 29 August 2025 require that import duties and taxes be prepaid before shipment from Canada, so these charges are collected at checkout to ensure your order can ship without delay.
We accept all major credit and debit cards - including Visa Debit, Visa Credit, MasterCard, and American Express.
We do indeed! We will require a 20% non-refundable deposit, and the remaining 80% balance will be payable within 60 days. Please note we are unable to accept cancellations for items purchased on a layaway basis. Once all payments have been received your item will be shipped. We are also able to hold any piece for you for 24 hours without a down payment, after which time the item will go live again if not purchased.
Absolutely - your piece will be lovingly gift wrapped! It will arrive in our vintage style velvet lined jewellery box, placed inside a small protective cardboard sleeve, with a ribbon bow tied around. It will then be popped into a protective postal cardboard box, and discreetly marked, so that special someone won’t realise what has arrived!
We keep our running costs low by having an online only store, and each piece is assessed and priced accordingly based on its quality in relation to its age and condition.
All of our pieces are either vintage or antique, and as such will usually show some signs of wear and previous life – part of what makes vintage and antique pieces so unique and characterful. We have devised an easy to understand condition guide:-
"Like new": these pieces will be pristine and will show no signs of wear.
“Excellent”: commensurate with age, these pieces will show only very light signs of wear e.g. a slightly rubbed setting.
"Very good”: commensurate with age, these pieces will show some visible wear and imperfection e.g. a band beginning to discolour or scratched gemstone.
"Good”: commensurate with age, these pieces will show visible wear and often multiple flaws e.g. this could include a thinning band or chipped gemstone.
All of our pieces are suitable to wear & be enjoyed during their new lease of life!
Fine jewelry is delicate and wearing it all day everyday can take its toll, so we would recommend removing it when doing the washing up or applying face cream for example to avoid getting it grubby. To keep it extra clean and sparkly you can easily mix together warm water and a touch of washing up liquid and rub gently with a soft toothbrush to remove everyday grubbiness, and you’ll notice a real difference from such a simple trick! We also recommend giving your piece a once over every couple of weeks so check for potentially loosened stones from knocks and bumps.
